The UAE's Capital Market Authority has approved the elimination of 15 fees following a thorough review of its fee structure. The move is designed to streamline regulatory procedures, lower costs and improve service delivery for licensed entities and professionals across the UAE capital markets sector.
The decision came out of an evaluation of fees spanning the wide range of services the authority oversees. Each charge was assessed against current regulatory standards, market developments and the authority's service model, leading to the removal of charges deemed unnecessary.
The authority said the step reflects its commitment to regularly reviewing regulations, procedures and fees so that the UAE's capital market framework keeps pace with market developments and stakeholder needs. The initiative aims to balance regulatory effectiveness with transparency and operational efficiency, while easing the administrative and financial burden on market participants.
Waleed Saeed Al Awadhi, the authority's CEO, said the organisation remains dedicated to continuously developing its fee framework in line with the evolution of the capital markets and the requirements of licensed companies and individuals.
Market participants are encouraged to consult the Board Resolution on the authority's website for full details of the affected services and guidance on implementation.
